De-Cluttering Again

December 30th, 2008 Posted in visualization

Before the new year gets here, I would like to de-clutter most of our home (our computer room is a mess and I don’t even want to think about it). Part of my new year’s resolution is to keep the house as “clutter-free” as possible. We have so many little “knick knacks” that it’s driving me up the wall. More crap equals more dusting, if you ask me. And I would love to just downsize, downsize, downsize. We don’t need all this stuff. We have everything we need.

One of the things that is stopping me from just getting rid of everything is the fact that my husband is a semi-pack rat. He loves having “stuff,” and he loves showcasing everything — EVERYTHING — we own. Sometimes I wonder if I’ve married my mother. Heh. I have to convince him that it’s okay to get rid of things, and that we don’t need THINGS — so many THINGS — in the house. I would love to get a glass cabinet where we can put all our “THINGS” so that it’s not so dispersed and spread throughout the house.

I think I’ve been inspired by all these renovation and makeover shows on HGTV. Heh.
