A Wonderful Little Girl

July 23rd, 2008 Posted in gratitude

It’s been a while since I’ve created a “gratitude” post. I will do one now, since there are so many things to be grateful for right now. Most of them will have to do with our latest addition, Ms. Lily Bean herself. Bare with me. I am absolutely in love with this little creature we brought into this world, so it’s gonna be sappy and corny for quite a while.

- her beautiful face
- her five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot
- her little mouse squeaks and squeals
- her loud, “listen to me!!!” yelps when she’s hungry or demanding
- the way she looks when she sleeps
- her big dark eyes
- her perfect little button nose
- her rosebud lips
- her :O facial expression
- her farts and torpedo poops — they’re SO funny!
- her cuddles
- Dave and the way he has fallen in love with his daughter
- the way Dave talks to her
- Dave’s support and overall generosity to help me heal and get better
- family
- everyone healthy and happy
- getting my xray done today — WOOHOO!!
- everyone so excited over Lily Bean’s birth
- her chubby cheeks — the Lu cheeks!

Ah so many things to be grateful for. Even though I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep in several weeks, this is completely worth it. She is such a precious little gem. The only thing that I have to complain about is that I can’t get back into my yoga routine for 6-8 weeks after the birth while I’m healing after the c-section. I miss yoga soo much, and not being able to exercise during and after the pregnancy is killing me. I miss being in tuned with my body that way. My tum is going down nicely, on its own, while my uterus is getting back to the shape it was before pregnancy (aka: small). I’m not one to use anything like Fenphedra diet pills, so exercising and eating right will be completely awesome. I can’t wait!
