Comparing Hosting

January 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in encompassed

Okay, everyone and their cat have a website these days. And when I mean everyone and their cat, I mean it quite literally. I’m including myself in this. Once upon a time, Tink had her own subdomain. And now Baby Bean does too. :P Heh. And I myself have three different domains that I keep up on a regular basis. Needless to say, if you’re anything like me, you know first hand how hard it is to find a really good host. Once you sign up for something and commit to the next month or 6 or even a year, you suddenly hear about another better service or hosting site. I hate when that happens. Finding the right web hosting choice is a constant and consistent issue with us domain owners. I often wish there was a site where you can compare between different services. Well, now there is. Web Hosting Choice allows you to do just that. That’s pretty good. I’m glad someone finally put my good thought to reality. :P

Bleeding Happiness

January 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in received

Life is really good right now. I am amazed at how happy I am. The odd thing about being happy is that when you are, you can’t seem to remember what it was like to be really unhappy. It’s as if all the bad things in the world, and even in your past, have completely disappeared. Not to say that I don’t remember the events of unhappiness in my past, or what happened, or anything of that sort. But… It’s quite the paradox, yet it makes so much sense. When you’re happy, you look for more reasons to be happy. When you’re not feeling well, you look for more reasons to justify your negative mood. Often, you only have to find one small thing that would make you feel just a little easier, just a little calmer, just a little better, and it seems like everything else falls into shape. Bitterness knows no bounds. Happiness is worked at. I’ve found that I’ve really had to work at finding happiness. I can’t say I would know how to define it, or how to achieve it in details. But I know when I am, and right now I am.

And it spreads. Like wild fire. People tell me all the time these days that seeing me genuinely happy makes them feel better, feel good about themselves and their own lives. People who really struggle at finding it, at achieving it… it’s like my happiness bleeds into their lives. It’s only those who want to hold onto their pain that makes it hard for them to let go, no matter how often they tell themselves they want to let go.

So let the happiness bleed. It’s one thing that we can afford to have spread.

Boxing Rematch

January 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in encompassed

Do you guys watch wrestling boxing at all? Or better yet, are you one of those people who actually enjoy going to matches? Although I’m not a detailed fan, even I know how famous Oscar De La Hoya is. His match last May with Floyd Mayweather was one of the biggest productions in boxing history, and it looks like it will happen again in September, especially if the rumors are true that the upcoming one in May may be cancelled. In September, you can get Mayweather/De La Hoya tickets at teamonetickets.com. The rematch will be one of the most popular, and if you’re a fan, you’ll really regret missing it. Some of my uncles are boxing fans. I’m definitely going to tell them about this. I may even purchase some as a present for them. I bet they would love to go see Oscar De La Hoya live and in action!

Getting a Car

January 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in encompassed

Today I was pretty productive. I made a whole bunch of phone calls to deal with my personal stuff that I needed to deal with, one being regarding getting a new car. With different types of car loans and licensing and car insurance issues, I really have to get my finances together and make sure I can do this on my own. If I were in the UK, it would probably be a lot easier, since they have great car finance options through Motor Car Loans. Getting a car loan is not going to be too difficult since my credit line is really good and I’ll have an awesome down payment (after selling this current car first, of course). Even then, with Motor Car Loans, I wouldn’t need to have good credit or even a deposit to get a car financed. I would only have to pick my car and go with it! They have so many different types of options and loans that it would be hard for me to get refused. I’m going to pass this on to my UK buddies to let them know they too can get a fine, fine car with half the hassle it usually takes! Buying a car is stressful enough. Imagine having to jump through all the other financial hoops too.

The Puppy Cat

Today I had dubbed as a Helen-and-Tink Day due to the snow. Almost everyone was snowed in, and most schools were closed, so I cancelled all my appointments and stayed home. Tink followed me around the whole day. I took a small nap after doing a bunch of paperwork for work. Tink and I bonded. A lot. She came for more cuddle after cuddle. The girl is not a cat, really. She’s a puppy in disguise. She cries for attention all the time, and she acts just like a puppy. I swear, this cat has some sort of identity crisis. Not the “independent” and “snobby” cat that everyone keeps telling to expect from her when we first got her. Somehow we lucked out and got a really lovable, dependent, completely clingy cat. Heh. Right now, she’s begging Dave for another cuddle and more one-on-one attention. It’ll be interesting how she reacts to Baby Bean just a few months from now!g how she reacts to Baby Bean just a few months from now!

Your resident MT fairy, here! The weblog is now the main feature of the MM.net domain, and Helen has big plans for it!

If you’re looking for the portfolio, you can now find it at /art. :)
Also, if you were subscribed to the RSS feed, don’t forget to change the URL to take out the old Rhythm subdomain! :) I’ll manually put an entry in the one at the old URL letting people know the change. :D
