Law Help

December 24th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in headlines

At work, sometimes I come across some really interesting law questions, such as family law, divorce laws, child custody laws, and especially juvenile law. One time, I had some clients who were essentially illegal immigrants to the U.S., and they wanted me to help them with finding out about Immigration Law NC, and I didn’t know the first place to look. Now, at William Fay, I have access to all this information that I know will be useful. In the counseling field, you wouldn’t think you would need to know about law, but I think every field requires some knowledge, or at least the knowledge of resources when the event permits. If you want to find a felony lawyer NC, you would need to know where to look, and now you have William Fay. Sometimes, my clients are involved in legal, criminal cases, and they want me to help them with finding some criminal defense NC help. Whatever I can provide is good information, and I am now keeping William Fay and Co. in mind! You never know when this information will come in handy, and when you or someone you know is desperate to find a lawyer or some law consultation, you’ll be glad to know this place!

Theravive

Being a counselor/therapist myself, I understand all too intimately the needs of counseling. So many of us out there need someone to talk to, someone who is unbiased and who doesn’t have an ulterior motif. It’s comforting being able to talk to a professional about your life issues and crises. This work that I do everyday — being able to help families in need — is so rewarding. I realize, too, that no matter where I am in life or what my needs are at any given time, having a counselor is something that is almost guaranteed to be needed at one point or another. I’ve had various in the past. I also realize that most people don’t know even where to begin to finding a counselor when they need one. Now, at least if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you’ve got Theravive. There, you can find all sorts of counselors to meet your individual life needs. From marriage counseling to family counseling to even drug and alcohol counseling, counseling Los Angeles style doesn’t have to be so hard. They’re there to help, and you’re pretty much guaranteed the very top-notched professionals out there, who are willing and able to meet your counseling needs. It comforts me knowing that my family and friends in the Los Angeles area have a hub space they can come to when or if they need a professional. I’m always being asked if I “know” any good counselors available because I am one.

Decorating with Poinsettias

December 9th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in headlines

Every year during the holidays, I have the urge to decorate our home with beautiful holiday flowers from 1800Flowers. This year is no different. I look at their site, and I see the beautiful Poinsettias available, and I can’t help but really really really want to get them for our home. They are so rich in color and they would make such a great addition to our holiday decor. The only thing we would have to worry about is keeping them away from the cat since it can kill her if she ingests the plant, but that isn’t a problem because we can put them up high where she can’t reach or jump onto. I just love how beautiful and bold they are, as if announcing their presence in every room. They are the perfect Christmas decorations, if I am to be completely honest. They are up there with a tree and lights. Everywhere I go I see them. Maybe next year, we’ll be able to get some poinsettias to grace our home. I would put some in the living room, and some in the kitchen. Maybe over the fireplace. How lovely that would be!!

Window Shutters

December 8th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in headlines

We need new window treatments for our home. Mostly in the kitchen, but the other rooms need some work as well. I was thinking of having some awesome vinyl shutters for the kitchen area, especially since we’re renovating our kitchen in January. If we’re going to do all that work, we might as well get some new window treatments too, right? At Exterior Shutter Source, they have lots to offer — I think it would look especially great next to our deck outside. I’m going to check in on that and see what we can come up with to match our renovation. Especially since they are offering free shipping for purchases over $225. I think we can cover that easily!

Private Student Loans

December 6th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in headlines

I’ve been thinking more and more seriously about going back to school, to get my PhD. I don’t know exactly what I would be getting it in, but it would definitely be something to do with social services. Education is so expensive these days, and I don’t know how we’re going to be able to afford for me to go back to school. I think private student loans may be an option when the time comes, as well as governmental student loans. Sometimes, true education costs cannot be covered through federal loans (don’t I know it, having gone through both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s!), so private student loans can help cover that gap. I’m glad that’s an option.

Seiko Watch

I would love to get my dad something nice for Christmas. I was thinking of saving up a bit of extra money and getting him one of those Seiko Watches. He’s been wearing the same watch for years. So long now that the spot on his arm where the watch is worn is completely tanned of a different color from the rest of his skin. Heh. My dad rarely gets anything for himself — he spends all his efforts and money on his kids and his home, so it would be nice to treat him like a celebrity by getting him a spankin’ new watch. Maybe even one of the ones that celebrities wear. I’m sure he would look snazzy sportin’ a Seiko watch that resembles something P.Diddy wears on a regular basis. He’d be so proud!
